Friesencold

These are my thank yous from earlier today. These are addressed to God in particular.

1. I am very thankful I had energy this morning to go for a run, that I wasn’t coughing while running, and that the weather wasn’t too cold for it, nor was I overdressed.

2. I am thankful for these few minutes of relative quiet (I only hear Cash in his crib and the Friday lawnmower man across the street) to sit in my favorite chair by the window and write and read and think and pray.

3. Thank you for the conversation TJ and I had last night before bed, and even though I don’t understand why I feel the way I do about some things right now, it was still good to share how I am feeling.

4. Thank you for my old friend Shannon and for our recent emails to one another. I feel very blessed to have Shannon a part of my life and I only wish we could live closer.

5. Thank you that the sun is shining today and that it hasn’t snowed yet, and hasn’t even really gotten that cold yet.

6. Thank you for mine and TJ’s stories, that we get to be in them, that they aren’t finished yet, that there is always hope.

7. Thank you for the encouragement of Isaiah 26:12-13 “LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us. O LORD, our God, other lords besides you have ruled over us, but your name alone do we honor.”

8. Thank you that I have my tattoo.

9. Thank you that we have friends to spend Thanksgiving with, and that I’m gonna make that cranberry-apple pie my sister told me about.

10. Thank you so much that Bauer’s eye is improving with more patching and more wearing of his glasses.
