Cooling Off

Today I walked 2.2 miles to pick up Bauer from Vacation Bible School. And then 2.2 miles back. It was 86 degrees, so by the time we got home, I was one hot mama. The kids weren’t overheated because I had them shaded nicely in the Double BOB and let them eat their lunch and drink water on the way home. But they were definitely heated.

Here’s how the boys cooled off once we got home.

They had all their clothes on at the beginning. Slowly but surely, the clothes all came off. I figured we should air Cash out from having that hot diaper on and Bauer was not gonna be left out!

Next I suggested I make smoothies for them to cool them off further, but Bauer really wanted me to make Banana Ice Cream instead.

How could I resist? The sole ingredient is frozen bananas and I run them through my juicer for the most amazing and creamy (and healthy) ice cream ever. And the ice cream is ready in less time than a smoothie and given my sweaty state, I took the quick route so I could go have a shower while they enjoyed their ice cream.
